New PNAS Publication

Appalachia is pleased to announce a new publication "Evaluating a groundwater supply contamination incident attributed to Marcellus Shale gas development", which was recently published in the peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).  The journal article was authored by Garth T. Llewellyn (Appalachia), Frank Dorman (Penn State), J.L Westland (Penn State), D. Yoxtheimer (Penn State), Paul Grieve (Penn State), Todd Sowers (Penn State), E. Humston-Fulmer (Leco Corporation) and S. L. Brantley (Penn State) and represents a collaborative effort to investigate gas drilling related impacts in SE Bradford County, PA outside of Wyalusing that occurred in 2010 and were investigated through 2012.  Our press release can be accessed by clicking on the following link.  http://news.psu.edu/story/355988/2015/05/04/research/new-technique-shows-shale-drilling-additives
