Jim Llewellyn, PG, LSRP
Principal Hydrogeologist


Bio:  Mr. W. James Llewellyn has over 20 years of experience with regulatory compliance and in the planning and implementation of various environmental projects, which include: remedial investigation/remedial action of soil, groundwater and surface water contamination at manufactured gas plants (MGP), chemical manufacturing and processing plants, Brownfield development properties, metal processing facilities and petroleum-related sites.  Jim is a registered professional geologist (P.G.) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) in the State of New Jersey.  He has worked in the environmental field since 1990.




Garth T. Llewellyn, M.Sc., PG, LSRP
Principal Hydrogeologist


Bio:  Mr. Garth T. Llewellyn has a wide range of technical and administrative skills and experience characterizing hydrogeologic and environmental systems.  Design and implementation of projects have included environmental and hydrogeologic assessments pertaining to oil and gas development; aquifer test analyses in fractured rock and porous media; water supply development; fracture trace analysis; numerical groundwater modeling; geostatistical analyses; database development; geographic information systems (GIS) analyses; design and implementation of site/remedial investigation activities; performance evaluations of hydrogeologic remedial systems; and litigation support.  Garth is an ASBOG-certified professional geologist (PG) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a licensed site remediation professional (LSRP) in the State of New Jersey, holds a Master of Science degree in Hydrogeology and has worked in the environmental field since 1999.

Appalachia’s staff consists of professional hydrogeologists, geologists and environmental scientists with over two decades of experience assisting industrial, commercial, government and residential clientele across the United States.  Appalachia’s key personnel hold B.S. and M.S degrees in Geoscience with an emphasis in hydrogeology.  Additional credentials include Professional Geologist (PG) registration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and Subsurface Evaluator in the State of New Jersey, and post-graduate education in geographic information systems (GIS).  Appalachia has offices located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Great Bend, Pennsylvania.
